The Winnipeg Jets announced today the have agreed to terms with defenceman Joe Morrow on a one-year contract with an average annual value of $1,000,000.
Morrow, 25, played 18 games for the Jets and 38 games for the Canadiens in 2017-18 and had 16 points (6G, 10A) and 26 penalty minutes. The Edmonton, Alberta native also played six playoff games for Winnipeg and scored the first postseason game winning goal in franchise history. Morrow has played 121 career games for Winnipeg, Montreal, and the Boston Bruins, recording 25 points (8G, 17A) and 42 PIMs.
Morrow was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round (23rd overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft.
