The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with goaltender Laurent Brossoit on a one-year contract with an average annual value of $1,750,000.

Brossoit, 30, played 11 games for the Golden Knights in 2022-23 and recorded a 7-0-3 record with a 2.17 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage. The Port Alberni, BC native also featured in eight playoff games for Vegas and had a 5-2 record with a 3.18 GAA and a .894 SV%. In addition, Brossoit played 23 games for the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights last season and went 8-11-3 with a 2.72 GAA and a .909 SV%.

Brossoit returns to Winnipeg, where he played 54 games over three seasons from 2018-2021 and went 25-19-3 with two shutouts, a 2.75 GAA and a .913 SV%. He has played 117 career NHL games for Vegas, Winnipeg, and the Edmonton Oilers with a 49-41-11 record, three shutouts, a 2.78 GAA, and a .908 SV%.
