The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with defenceman Kyle Capobianco on a two-year contract with an average annual value in the NHL of $762,500.
Capobianco, 24, collected nine points (2G, 7A) in 45 games with the Arizona Coyotes last season. He’s played his entire career with the Coyotes organization, tallying 10 points (3G, 7A) in 59 games with Arizona and 112 points (21G, 91A) in 155 games with the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners. He was selected to the AHL All-Star Game in 2019 and 2020.
Internationally, Capobianco, a product of Mississauga, Ont., has appeared once for Canada, winning a bronze medal at the 2015 U18 World Championship.
He was selected in the third round (63th overall) by Arizona in the 2015 NHL Draft.
