The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have selected Swedish forward Daniel Torgersson with the 40th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.
Torgersson, 18, has grown up playing in Frolunda’s organization. He has eight points (4G, 4A) in eight games with Frolunda in the J20 Nationell this season, while also appearing in two games for Frolunda in the SHL. Last season with Frolunda’s U20 team, the product of Hono, Sweden tallied 44 points (26G, 18A) in 39 games and 10 points (6G, 4A) in four games with the U18 team. He also appeared in six games in the SHL.
