Kyle Connor passed the puck up to a streaking Mason Appleton. Appleton skated into the Ottawa zone, stopped and turned to pass the puck back to the trailing Neal Pionk. Pionk skated right into it and blasted a one-timer past Craig Anderson.

Bouncing puck on the rush that lands on the stick of Brady Tkachuk. Tkachuk quickly chipped it to Jean-Gabriel Pageau, who lifted a back-hand shot top shelf to beat Laurent Brossoit.

 Anthony Bitetto cleared the puck out front. The puck was picked up by Nikolaj Ehlers, who had just left the penalty box. Ehlers chipped the puck past Thomas Chabot and quickly floated a back-hand pass cross-ice to Kyle Connor. Connor walked in and beat Craig Anderson low blocker.

 Neal Pionk fired a point shot on Craig Anderson. Kyle Connor shot the rebound, but is stopped by Anderson. The loose puck bounced to Patrik Laine at the side of the net and he chipped it over Anderson’s pad for the goal.

 Laurent Brossoit went to play the puck behind the net. He passed to Neal Pionk. Pionk fanned on the outlet pass and the puck found the tape of Mikkel Boedker. Boedker shot the puck into the open net.

Blake Wheeler passed the puck to Neal Pionk at the point. Pionk faked a slap shot and then fired a wrist shot on net. Patrik Laine was stationed in the high slot and he deflected the puck past Craig Anderson.

Patrik Laine stole the puck in the neutral zone and passed it to Kyle Connor to start a four-on-one. Connor passed the puck to Blake Wheeler. Wheeler waited out the defence and passed it back to Patrik Laine, who shot the puck top shelf on Marcus Hogberg.
