The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with defenceman Nathan Beaulieu on a one-year contract with an average annual value of $1,000,000.

Beaulieu, 26, was acquired from the Buffalo Sabres on Feb. 25/19 and recorded five assists and seven penalty minutes in 18 games for the Jets. The native of Strathroy, Ont. also played 30 games for Buffalo in 2018-19, tallying seven points (3G, 4A) and 32 PIMs. Beaulieu’s 18-19 campaign was his seventh in the NHL, as he has played for the Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo, and Winnipeg. He has totaled 81 points (11G, 70A) and 227 PIMs in 332 games and has four assists in 17 playoff games.

Beaulieu was originally drafted in the first round (17th overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2011 NHL Draft.
