The Winnipeg Jets entertain the Dallas Stars today in the first of four games this week…The Jets were shut out 4-0 by the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena on Friday in their first game of 2019…Winnipeg continues the homestand on Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche.

Winnipeg plays their fifth daytime game of the season today…The Jets are 2-2-0 in afternoon games this season, including 2-1-0 at Bell MTS Place…Since relocation, the Jets are 24-33-8 in matinee games…Defenceman Josh Morrissey leads the Jets in scoring in the four afternoon games this season with six points (2G, 4A), while fellow defenceman Tyler Myers has five points (2G, 3A).

25 Wins
The Jets won their 25th game of the season in Edmonton on Monday in their 39th game to set a franchise record for fewest games needed to reach 25 wins…Last season, the Jets won their 25th game in their 43rd game, while it took 47 games for the Jets post their 25th win in 2014-15.

Friendly Confines
Despite having lost back-to-back games at home, Winnipeg is 13-6-2 at home this season, which is tied for the fifth-most wins and the sixth-most points in the NHL…The Jets haven’t lost three consecutive home games since Mar. 6-11/17…The Jets have the best power play at home in the NHL this season at 36.1%…Winnipeg’s 22 power play goals at home this season are tied for first in the NHL…The Jets are 9-for-19 (47.4%) in the power play in their last six home games…The Jets have a 45-13-4 record at Bell MTS Place during the past two seasons, making it the toughest building in the NHL for opposing teams to play.

Hit Squad
The Jets dished out a season-high 46 hits against Pittsburgh on Friday…The previous high this season was 28 hits (Nov. 9 vs. COL and Dec. 16 vs. TBL)…Brandon Tanev led the Jets with 10 hits, which is a career high and the most by a member of the Jets this season…Tanev has climbed to 10th in the NHL in hits with 122 this season.

Shut Out
Friday’s game marked the third time this season the Jets have been shut out, which is the most since being shut out four times during the 2015-16 season…Winnipeg was shut out twice in each of the last two seasons…The franchise record for most times being shut out in a season is 12, which happened during the 1999-00 season when the franchise was in Atlanta.

Busy Time
Friday began a run of nine games in 16 days for the Jets leading into the player and all-star break from Jan. 20-27…After the all-star break, the Jets also have a busy schedule with 11 games in 20 days.

Against the Central
Winnipeg begins a stretch of five of eight games against Central Division teams today…The Jets are 7-5-0 against Central Division teams this season…Since the start of the 2016-17 season, the Jets are 41-22-4 against Central Division teams, which is first in the NHL…In that same time frame, Blake Wheeler leads all NHLers in scoring against the Central Division with 86 points (26G, 60A) in 67 games, while Mark Scheifele is second with 79 points (32G, 467) in 59 games.

Seeing Stars
The NHL announced the rosters for the 2019 NHL All-Star Game last week and Jets forwards Blake Wheeler and Mark Scheifele were selected to the Central Division team…Wheeler, who is making his second consecutive all-star appearance, leads the Jets in points (50) and also leads the Jets and ranks third in the NHL in assists (44)…Scheifele is making his first all-star appearance and is second on the Jets in points (49), goals (22), and assists (27)…He is also in the top 15 in the NHL in goals and points…Forward Patrik Laine is on a Last Man In ballot, as fans vote on the final member of each all-star team…The NHL announced on Saturday that head coach Paul Maurice has been selected as the coach of the Central Division team, based on the Jets being in first place in the Central Division at the midway point of the season.

Connor Hellebuyck won his 100th career game on Monday against the Oilers…He reached the milestone in 179 games, which the fourth fastest in NHL history by an American born goaltender…Hellebuyck is second all-time in franchise wins, behind Ondrej Pavelec’s 152 victories…Hellebuyck’s .644 winning percentage is first in franchise history among goaltenders that have made 100 starts.
